Now that January is here, we can finally start to focus on the things coming up in 2023. One of the most exciting things happening this year is our trip to Israel! Landon and I have been in contact with everyone who came to the Israel interest meetings over the summer, and we believe we have enough people on board to make this trip possible. We are ready to open up registration!

I am attaching the link to our trip. As soon as you are ready to sign up and pay the deposit, please do so. The sooner we can get everyone signed up the better. You will use this link to enter your information and pay your $500 deposit. Remember, the payments for this trip will not come through the church office. You will pay Maranatha Tours directly.

Registration Instructions

Once you click on the link, click on the “View Dates and Pricing” tab. That will take you to a screen where you will choose how many you are registering and then ask for your personal information. After you submit your information, you will come to a screen that asks about roommates. If you already know who your roommate will be, you will click “Yes there will be a roommate”.  If you don’t already have a roommate, you will have to choose one of the other options. You can choose to have a single room, which will add an additional $800 to the cost, or you can ask to be paired with someone on the trip. If you choose this option, you will need to  understand that if there isn’t another person looking for a roommate, you will be given a single room and will be required to pay the additional $800.

After you enter the roommate information, you will be asked if you would like the land only price. You do NOT want to check this option. If you check this option, airfare will not be purchased for you. You will also need to select “N/A” on needing airfare from another city. At the bottom of that page, you will enter Landon Coleman as the tour leader’s name.

The next page will ask about trip extensions, which we are not offering for this tour. You can skip over this and select “Add to Cart”. When you checkout, your cost should be $3450, or $4250 if you’ve chosen to have your own room. You will enter your payment information to pay your $500 deposit and hit submit.

Once you register, you will get a welcome email from Maranatha Tours within 1-3 days. This email will include the link to the Travelex insurance policy that is offered through Maranatha. You can use this link to purchase this policy for $163. This is the basic travel policy that will cover trip cancellation for reasons such as sickness, injury or death of an immediate family member, traffic accident, inclement weather, employment termination, quarantine, etc. It also covers some medical expenses while you are in Israel. If you are interested in purchasing “cancel for any reason” coverage, you can do that through the link below. You will need to fill out your information (travel agent number is not necessary) and then select the “Travel Select” insurance. It will cost you around 30%  more than the basic coverage (cost is determined by age), but it will allow you to get up to 50% of your trip cost back if you have to cancel for reasons not covered by the basic plan. For example, travel restrictions, job schedules, fear of travel, etc. would be covered at 50% of your trip cost as long as you cancel at least 48 hours before departure. Travel insurance is not a requirement but it is HIGHLY recommended. You only have 15 days from the day that you pay your deposit to purchase insurance, so we would advise you to do that immediately if you plan to get it.

Also, please be aware that our flight leaves on Sunday, November 26th from Dallas. You will either need to plan to   travel with us on Saturday or get yourself there and meet us at the airport on Sunday. If you travel with us, this will  require paying for a hotel room and gas/bus cost to get there. We will make those arrangements closer to time.
